Things change

In ways too strange

Or maybe people do

Gradually, day after day

The flow of words hindered

Finding no alternative way

 

Don’t say a word

It will go unheard

Because now I love

The comfortable sound

Of absolute silence

Alive, taut and tense

  1. the last two lines are so true (all of it is good!). I used to meditate and silence often did feel alive and oddly tense!

    • Thank you. I believe sometimes there’s a particular quality to silence which says so much more than words can.
